Who knew Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi had worshipped in the temple of Venus; the ancient Greek god of love to have known so much about the letters and intrigues of Love; the Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom showing the romantic side of him to his wives on their birthday is almost like a norm for him as he is not afraid to share in their pot full of joy at any given time.

 

Yesterday Monday the 4th of December, his second wife, Olori Hazida Yakassai- Elegushi sauntered into a new age on Mother Earth. while in a celebration mood, the beautiful Olori never knew the cosmopolitan Elegushi king had something in place for her already as he had extended invites to her few circle of friends, family and associates to a small dinner soiree at a highbrow Dunes Restaurant in Abuja.

Olori Hadiza was caught off guard as she walked majestically to see her people all seated to surprise her by singing birthday songs to her. She was stunned as friends and family took turns to speak and admonish her strong virtue as a beautiful woman in and out and Oba Saheed was also gushing over her as he said beautiful words to his wife. It was a very cosy ambience for the duo as they both stormed the dance floor to dance while onlookers were having fun in a celebratory mood.

 

Olori Hadiza never failed to show gratitude as she thanked her husband for putting smiles on her face and promised to continue to love him till eternity. Those who attended were feted with the very best of continental cuisine and high-cost drinks.

For over two years now, socialite and businessman Chief Ayiri Emami and the Olu of Warri; Ogaiame Atuwatse III have been at loggerheads since the Olu was selected to be coronated as Olu of Warri years ago as Chief Ayiri opposed his selection and coronation process but against all odds, despite different back and forth; Ogiame Atuwatse III was coronated amidst pomp. After his coronation; he gave a standing order that all chiefs should come to the palace to revalidate that chieftaincy but Ayiri who was an erstwhile Ologbotsere of Warri refused to obey the orders of the king as he didn’t show up to revalidate his chieftaincy.

As it is known traditionally that the words of the king are backed by unquestionable authority; Olu of Warri stripped Ayiri of the Ologbotsere title as the Traditional Prime minister. After several top warri people waded into the issue; at a general assembly on the Aghofen months ago, Chief Ayiri came out, paid homage by kneeling down before the King, and submitted his beads and swords which automatically means he relinquished the Ologbotsere title according to tradition. In his magnanimous nature; Olu offered Ayiri the Title of Eyeku of Warri Kingdom a title once held by his late father Chief Akonu Emami but Ayiri declined the title saying it was either the Ologbotsere or nothing. Ogiame also advised Ayiri that to have the Ologbotsere title, he will need to follow due process by climbing the ladder again by meeting the requirements but he declined and the Olu thanked him for all he has done for the kingdom and asked him to sit in the congress but Ayiri stormed out of the palace in the company of his aggrieved people. Using his prerogative as the King; he immediately elevated the Aboludero of Warri Kingdom Chief Oma Eyewuoma, Deputy Director at Conoil as the new Ologbotsere of Warri kingdom and gave him his blessings.

A source said that to date, Ayiri still addresses himself as the Ologbotsere of Warri Kingdom as he now forms a parallel kingdom owning to his massive followership and his filial relationship with President Tinubu. The Socialite last month celebrated the 6^th year anniversary of his installation as the Ologbotsere of Warri a day that collided with the Ologbotsere Descendant General Assembly where here he hosted all sundry and offered sacrifice. A source says; several messages have been sent to Ayiri by the Olu and his chiefs for him to desist from addressing himself as Ologbotsere but he has defied all odds claiming he is still the Ologbotsere and no one can strip him of his title.

Adebayo Adelabu with the sobriquet Penkelemensi or Bayseone is not a rookie in the scheme of things politically in Oyo state. His current role as the Minister of Power has further placed him in the cynosure of all eyes as President Tinubu feels he will bring his cerebral prowess as an accountant into play handling the most critical sectors of the nation’s economy which Nigeria has suffered its epileptic nature for decades. He didn’t just come into prominence he is from a family that held sway in Oyo and defunct Western Region Politics which was his grandfather Adegoke Adelabu who originally has the sobriquet Penkelemesi who was a young seasoned politician who galvanized political might during the western region and carved a niche for himself.

Adelabu former deputy governor at the Central Bank of Nigeria before his resignation to contest for Oyo Guber twice is indeed a man favoured by his creator. Last weekend after leaving his hometown in Ibadan enroute to Abuja with his friends and staff on a chartered flight it was said that the plane conveying him back to Abuja crash landed but with no casualty recorded. While his supporters were jubilating that their son left the air mishap scene unscratched some said it’s the good things he has been indulging in that saved him. Some also said his grandfather died in a road accident at the twilight of his career as a politician of reckon but his supporters prayed that that wouldn’t be his case that he would live long and no evil would befall him. 

Sources say after the issues he was just thanking God for protecting him and not making the mishap take his life. Despite the issue; Adelabu came to Lagos to join the Governor of Lagos; Mr Babajide Sanwo-olu and the Governor of Ekiti State; Mr Biodun Oyebanji to commission the 717 stretch Oyingbo Bridge in Lagos. Another source said Adelabu is planning to organize a prayer session and a thanksgiving ceremony to thank his Creator for not cutting his life short and not letting what happened to his grandfather happen to him.
