ARISE CONFERENCE 2021: SIJU ILUYOMADE,KWARA FIRST LADY, OTHERS URGES WOMEN TO BE ACTIVE IN NATION BUILDING

…..Over 30,000 Arise Pink Bucket Palliatives To Be Distributed

 

 It was a total electrifying atmosphere on Saturday 30th, October 2021 during the 13th edition of Arise Women Conference both virtually and physically to the delights of women, not only in Nigeria but across the world, with a record of millions of viewers online and vie live television broadcast

 

The event which was organized by Converner, Arise Women, Dr Siju Iluyomade has over the years grown to be a global educative, empowerment and awareness convergence of every cadre of women in the society. This year’s edition tagged #REVIVE similarly like previous years attracted bigwigs politically, professionals from all walks of life, as they gathered to discuss why women are very essential and powerful to the development of Nigeria and world at large.

 

Held inside the main Auditorium of Redeemed Christian Church of God RCCG, City of David, Victoria Island, Lagos, the Conference witnessed in attendance, the first Lady of Kwara State, Mrs Olufolake Abdulrazaq, Wife of Deputy Governor of Lagos, Mrs Oluremi Hamzat, Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs Pauline Tallen, represented by Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Iyalode of Lagos, Alhaja Bintu Tinubu, Chairperson of Tasty Fried Chicken, Mrs Olayinka Adedayo among many other professional women.

While declaring the Conference open, the delectable Lawyer of over 30years experience, Dr Iluyomade urged women to stop complaining all the time, but stand up to contribute their own in anywhere they found themselves. “we can not keep complaining without making efforts to contribute to the development of our nation. God gives people the kind of leaders they want if you are docile, what are you doing in your own right to make things better? If nothing, then you are part of the problem” She highlighted so many developmental projects Arise Women has done over the years, to support the effort of the government across regions in the country. The platform, according to her, has built Schools, Hospitals, Libraries, Purchase ambulances, Constructed boreholes for communities in different parts of the country. “ we have empowered nothing less than 30,000 women in different skills acquisition programmes over the years”

 

Mrs Abdulrazaq while pouring encomium on Convener of Arise Women, Dr Siju Iluyomade, praises her for dedicating her time and resources to uplift the most vulnerable of our society as well as empowering women. “ am very delighted with all achievement of Arise Women, Dr Siju is doing great job with this platform by lifting thousands out of poverty with the various humanitarian programmes, she needs all the support”

Meanwhile, the Medical Director of Infectious Disease Hospital, Isolation Centre in Yaba who has been playing major role in treating patients of Covid-19, Dr Abimbola Bowale, also commended Arise Women for coming out to offer great support to Lagos State, with provision of lots of items during the heat of the virus last year. He also urged everyone to go for Covid-19 vaccination, stating that it is very safe for everyone. Other speakers who spoke glowingly about Arise Women and Dr Iluyomade were, Mrs Hamzat, representative of the Minister of Women Affairs and hosts of others.

 

The event also witnessed the commencement of distribution of over 3000 Arise Pink Bucket palliatives, that has in its content, different items like rice, Semo, Maggi, Palm Oil and many more, to underprivileged who throng the venue. This will also be distributed across the Local Government in Lagos State

JCI Nigeria partners P&G, donate Sanitary Towels in the Celebration of the Girl-Child

As Nigeria joins the rest of the world to commemorate and celebrate the Girl Child, Junior Chamber International Nigeria in partnership with P&G paid a visit to Alapere Comprehensive High School to sensitize the Female Students and donate Sanitary Pads. Speaking at the event, The National President, JCI Nigeria – Abiola Olorunnisola encouraged female students to be upright, Diligent, Bold and Be Active Citizens in all their endeavors, adding that the future belongs to the youth.

Olorunnisola further reinstated the organization’s commitment to continuous support and collaboration for the betterment of the youths through education and other initiatives. ‘’We are committed to improving the state of the world by engaging in meaningful initiatives in our immediate environment.

Also speaking at the gathering, the Local President of JCI Ikeja, Tricia Inalu charged the girls to ensure they pay due attention to themselves, their body and take care of their mental health.

Amongst JCI Nigeria delegates that were present at the donation event are Director of Projects, JCI Ikeja – Ruth Oriyomi Idowu; Director of Membership Services and Awards, JCI Ikeja – Wunmi Fakoya and other Members of the Organisation.

The Sensitization was followed by the distribution of Sanitary Towels. The Principal of the School, expressed his profound gratitude for the existing relationship and usual support to the School.

It will be recalled that 10 Blocks of Modern Toilets were also donated to the School in the month of June 2021 by JCI Ikeja. The President of JCI Ikeja, Tricia Inalu assured the Principal and the Students of the Organization’s continuous supports.

JCI Nigeria has been involved in different developmental projects all across the states of the federation, driving and providing development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change.

of young, active citizens under the age of 40 comprising career professionals, entrepreneurs, and public-spirited individuals desirous of making a positive impact in their communities.

  Siju Iluyomade Begins Distribution of ‘Arise Pink Bucket’ Palliative Across Nigeria

In a bid to bring succor to the less privileged in the society, Arise Women, led by Dr Siju Iluyomade has put everything in place to begin the distribution of its ‘Pink Bucket’, a food basket to serve as palliatives for millions of people across the country.

The package which consists of a couple of items like Spaghetti, Rice, Tomato paste, groundnut Oil among other things will be the content in a pink bucket, which is now a regular activity of Dr. Iluyomade’s way of reaching out to lots of underprivileged tagged ‘Arise Pink Bucket’ (APB), will commence on December 4th officially.

Though the distribution of the buckets started on 1st of December during Dr. Iluyomade’s championed Handmaidens weekly event at the COD Redeemed Christian Church of God, Victoria Island, were people trooped in to pick up the ‘Arise Pink Bucket’ palliatives, the distribution to Local Governments across the Country later during the week.

Over 3million of ‘Arise Pink Buckets’ are expected to be distributed in many parts of the country in the next few weeks according to Dr. Iluyomade.

Kaffy Foundation boss, Kafayat Abass chairs Ojodu Primary School Inter-house Sport, Urges Ojodu LCDA’s Support for Education

The CEO of popular Kaffy Charity Foundation in Nigeria, Omowunmi Kafayat Abass yesterday chaired the 2021 edition of Ojodu Primary School inter house-sport in Lagos. Kaffy was accompanied to the colourful event by some supporters of Iyalaje Oodua to give her support due to her kind gesture towards the growth of her Alma mater.

In her speech, Kaffy urged the Ojodu Local Government chairman Mr. Olusegun Odunmbaku to support the Primary School with a bus for the comfort of the pupils.

Kaffy noted, “since last year I have been using her personal car to drive down the students every morning, though am running my foundation to help the needy that is why I offer my personal car for the gesture.

This medium reported that Kaffy supported Ojodu primary school pupils for the inter-house sport with all the necessary items to make the occasion colorful, she also gave out exercises books, food etc.

Meanwhile, Oladapo Sofowora who represented Iyalaje Oodua, Princess Toyin Kolade, pledged on her behalf to give the school a new gate for the growth and betterment of the school, he advised the pupils to focus on their studies pointing out that education is the best legacy.

Mrs M.O Oyenira the headteacher of Ojodu primary school said this year’s edition is so significant because of the personalities that graced the occasion, she appreciated Kaffy foundation and Iyalaje Oodua and chairman of the occasion Mr. Sulaiman for their love and kind gesture.
