“We embarked on this outreach just to show that the IBD foundation cares and also show solidarity for those who are currently fasting and the poorest of the poorest who truly need these palliatives. We are currently sharing rice, yams, beans, garri, indomie, oil and other edible items. We are moving from mosques various households and Churches to drop the items so we can reach out to as many people as possible. We have mapped out a plan which we are following so we can reach our target audience. Currently, we have touched many households and people who have shown their deep appreciation and have also been praying fervently for us”
Mrs Egungbohun also disclosed that; the gesture was also extended to the School of Children with Special Needs in Ilaro and the Ilaro Correctional Centre where the foundation renovated and also donated a functioning borehole with a large tank for an easy supply of water. “We are doing this to ease the burden off the government. As private individuals, we can also show solidarity with the government when we embark on projects like this. It helps to make the world a better place when we watch out for each other.
