Investigation Counters Malicious Media Report Against LNSA Leadership
Published
1 year agoon

Contrary to the disparaging sponsored media attack being syndicated around the media to portray Prince Oyekan Ajasa Ifalade and the Lagos Neighborhood Safety Agency LNSA in a bad light to the public, an independent investigation has shown the said malicious reports as false in its totality.
The faceless individual syndicating the false report is obviously envious of the giant strides the Agency has recorded under the umbrella of Prince Ifalade.
It is evident that such an individual is economical with the truth thereby filing a one-sided report without due diligence which is against the pen-pushing profession. Prince Ifalade’s refusal to give in to mediocrity and also living up to the expectation of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu who never jokes about the security of lives and property in Lagos as part of his ‘THEMES’ agenda, seems to be the headache of those fueling the purported rumor about the agency.
According to the malicious report, allegations were raised that; Prince Ifalade runs a one-man show, Procurement compromise, Using of personal staff to perform statutory roles, has overbearing influence in the recruitment exercises, Scrapping functional vehicles.
It is pertinent to state the findings of an independent investigation carried out concerning the allegations raised above. Since Prince Oyekan assumed office about a year ago as the General Manager of the LNSA, he has always given listening ears to those working with him through constant meetings, consultations and even deliberate visits to individual offices to see to the welfare of the Officers and progress of the departments.
He is well known to believe and say, no man is an island of knowledge. Consequently he gives room for suggestions and recommendations from his staff who often acost him on the corridor of the Agency building without any hindrance.
Oyekan is said to have been heard on several occasions saying, “the issue of a one-man show is not possible in security matters. You need the candid advice of all sundry before you make your decisions. Securing lives and property in Lagos is a collective effort you need people so the agency revolving around me should not be even up for debate”. And in pure demonstration of this mantra all the Commands and Unit heads have unfettered access to Oyekan’s office in Oshodi.
The Lagos State Government has a transparent procurement mechanism which remains a viable tool in the hands of its officers during the procurement process. The LNSA under Ifalade is reported to have painstakingly followed the process in its business interactions, storage and deployment of its assets, while the agency is found to have an inventory of all that was procured and deployed and the list is available on request.
All procurement is done within the required scope of the civil service and Mr. Ifalade does not head the procurement team and the procurement Team head is a core professional well known for thoroughness.
Further to this, the various materials procured by the Agency, including car batteries, tires, servicing oils, and the rest are done by duly designated units of the agency. Ifalade does not meddle in the business of the procurements and deployment of procured working tools and only known to observe and supervise the processes as stipulated by the Administrative rules to ensure quality checks and also ensures procured materials are distributed to the needed units.
According to an independent informer, “out of the 57 seven local governments in Lagos, procured Generators have been distributed to 37 Local Government Areas and LCDA while the rest is said to have been held in the store of the Agency for logistic reasons including the lack of accommodation which is being addressed by the Government through the Agency.
Those who are giving out this false information are either not informed or want to deliberately gaslight the whole process because Prince Ifalade has always harped on accountability by ensuring all that is needed

The Dotun Adesua Symposium, an earnest endeavor to cultivate meaningful dialogue within Nigeria’s dynamic creative industry, has laid a firm groundwork upon which this vibrant sector can flourish and become a catalyst for national development.
The symposium, held in Lagos, brought together luminaries, industry professionals, and creative minds under the theme, “Nurturing Creative Talent For Nation-Building. “It served as a pivotal platform for driving conversations that are essential to the growth and prosperity of the nation.
At the heart of the symposium was the visionary mission to bridge the gap between established professionals, mentors, and the emerging generation seeking guidance. The symposium aimed to equip these budding talents with invaluable knowledge and insights while fostering stronger connections between industry leaders and the creative pioneers of tomorrow.
In his keynote address, President and Chairman, Governing Council of the National Institute of Marketing Nigeria (NIMN), Mr. Idorenyen Enang set the tone for the symposium illuminating the diversity within the creative industry, with each facet underpinned by creativity at its core.
Using a metaphorical dining table, Enang vividly illustrated how consumers often engage with creative products without fully comprehending the intricate workings of the industry. He emphasized the need for professionals to expand their horizons and deepen their knowledge.
Enang went further to underscore that the journey of nurturing creative talent commences at home, drawing parallels with the farming process. He likened the act of planting seeds to the inception of creativity, asserting that the cultivation of creative talent begins with education.
“Mentorship plays an indispensable role in guiding individuals along their creative journeys, nurturing the sparks of genius within them.” Enang firmly stated.
The symposium also featured a panel session where the President of the Association of Professional Party Planners and Event Managers of Nigeria, Funbi Akinyosoye shared her insights on the pivotal role of education in unlocking creative potential.
Akinyosoye recounted her personal journey, highlighting that formal education alone does not define one’s ability to infuse perfectionism into their work.
She encouraged young individuals to embark on creative explorations, even in seemingly minor endeavors, reinforcing the notion that education provides the platform for them to express themselves more effectively.
Veteran Comedian and Compere, Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st, brought his wealth of experience to the panel.
He shared his experiences in propelling the comedy sector in Nigeria’s southwest region, despite initial skepticism regarding his choice of location for shows.
Adeyinka emphasized his steadfast dedication to nurturing talents, which has played a pivotal role in the remarkable growth of comedy in the region. He dispelled the misconception that creativity is synonymous with chaos and underscored the importance of structure in delivering successful creative projects.
Summing up the symposium’s significance, the Convener Dotun Adesua, declared that the symposium sent a resounding message: Nurturing creative talents is not merely an individual odyssey but a crucial contribution to Nigeria’s cultural and economic development.
Adesua announced that the symposium marked the initiation of an annual tradition, poised to continue inspiring and connecting professionals with emerging talents within the creative industry, adding that subsequent events would propel Nigeria forward through the transformative power of creativity and mentorship, envisioning a brighter future for the nation’s creative landscape.

George Uboh’s Long History of Fraudulent Activities: A Warning to the Public
Published

September 18, 2023
In recent times, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has stepped up its efforts to prosecute prominent Nigerians involved in various financial improprieties, fraud, and illegal activities. Among the individuals under the EFCC’s watchful eye, one name that stands out is George Uboh, a man with a long history of fraudulent activities and a dubious reputation. This article serves as an investigative report, shedding light on the multiple fraudulent activities attributed to George Uboh and why people should steer clear of any association with him.
George Uboh is not a newcomer to the world of fraud and financial misconduct. His track record reveals a pattern of deceit and fraudulent behavior dating back several years, both in Nigeria and the United States. With a history of convictions and allegations of criminal activities, Uboh’s credibility is seriously in question.
George Uboh’s criminal history extends to the United States, where he was convicted of wire fraud in 1992. Uboh was at the center of a major credit card and bank fraud ring in Georgia. He served time in prison for his role in these fraudulent activities and was eventually released in 2001. This conviction alone raises significant concerns about his character and trustworthiness.
In April 2016, George Uboh faced another conviction in Nigeria, this time for his involvement in converting the property of the defunct Police Equipment Foundation (PEF) to his personal use. The EFCC arraigned Uboh on a three-count charge of criminal breach of trust related to the sale of PEF vehicles. Uboh had abused his position as the former Head of Security and Communication Department at PEF to sell these vehicles improperly.
George Uboh’s fraudulent activities did not stop with his previous convictions. In 2019, he sensationally accused the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, of financial malfeasance. However, his allegations raised concerns about his credibility, as they appeared to be driven by personal motives rather than genuine whistleblowing.
Uboh’s modus operandi includes presenting himself as a recovery agent for national assets, despite his criminal history and questionable character. He claimed to have traced significant funds trapped in Nigerian banks and government agencies. However, his actions raised suspicions about his intentions, as he used his position to threaten and harass individuals, corporate bodies, and government entities to obtain information and further his own agenda.
The Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, eventually revoked the engagement letter issued to George Uboh for asset recovery services on behalf of the Federal Government. This decision was based on Uboh’s failure to adhere to the terms of engagement, as he exceeded the scope of his mandate and used government authority for personal gain.
Following the revocation of his engagement, George Uboh resorted to waging a relentless media war against the AGF and other individuals and organizations. He continued to make baseless accusations and threats, demonstrating a lack of respect for the law and decorum.
George Uboh’s long history of fraudulent activities and convictions in both the United States and Nigeria make him an unreliable and untrustworthy individual. His actions and allegations appear to be motivated by personal gain rather than a genuine commitment to combating corruption. The public is strongly advised to exercise caution and avoid any association with George Uboh, as his track record suggests a propensity for deceit and fraudulent behavior. It is essential to rely on credible and reputable sources when evaluating claims of corruption and financial misconduct.
