More reason he showered song of praises to his creator for the gift of life at a time most of his peers had been snatched by the dreaded grim reaper embarking on a sojourn of no return. For him to remain bubbling in good health and wealth, it’s a clear indication that He is indeed loved by his creator and there is nothing else he could offer to his creator other than the offering of thanksgiving. More reason He and his pretty wife Aisha shut the city of Lagos down in celebration mood converging all sundry within the Lagos metropolis to celebrate with them at a high octane celebration with the presence of Fuji Maestro; King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal on the bandstand to serenade his guests. In all, he never failed to acknowledge the pivotal role his wife a popular fabric merchant downtown Lagos played on his way to the top.

For his 45th birthday, the SHARFEX OIL AND GAS boss had a dual celebration. Last December, He hosted close friends and family members at his palatial Omole Mansion to a compound soiree with Sir Shina Peters on the bandstand to serenade invited guests. On the 15th of January, The Turaki Garden Estate head honcho left no stone unrolled as He also hosted a talk-of-the-town birthday shindig at the popular Grandeur Event center in Lagos. King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall was also in top form as he never failed to display his prowess on the bandstand serenading guests with a musical rendition from his old and latest records.

It was indeed a mega birthday soiree with an array of sumptuous local and continental meals and high-cost drinks in circulation. It was a parade of allure laced with grand opulence. Over 40 vendors were present to make sure all invited guests were treated to royalty. The Olowolagba of Egbaland alongside his beautiful wife showed class as they both changed to different outfits. The celebrant never failed to show his dancing dexterity, hosting an afterparty that those who attended will never forget in a hurry. Close sources averred that; Turaki has over the years distinct himself as a man in a league of his own blessed with a quiet and respectful persona. “One thing he loathes dearly is the sight of those close to him in distress, he always renders assistance to the best of his ability. His philanthropic and dangerous giving nature made his party a talk of the town with top guests in attendance”.

A chieftain in the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, Segun Adewale aka Aeroland, has clinched the ticket in the just concluded primaries to bear the flag of the PDP for the Lagos West Senatorial Seat in the coming elections. The elated philanthropist and politician in his victory and appreciation speech, laid emphasis on the need for all members and well-wishers of the Party to rally round and ensure victory at the general election come 2023.

The speech reads;

Hi, My name is Segun Adewale, people call me ‘Aeroland’. I just won the Lagos West Senatorial District’s Peoples’ Democratic Party primaries.

I would like to first and foremost appreciate the National Working Committee of our great party which has selected, recruited and deployed professionals to conduct the just concluded Senatorial Primaries in Lagos State. I would also like to appreciate the delegates for the enormous privilege and honor reposed in me by conducting themselves well and casting their votes diligently, you have my utmost respect.

I’m grateful to the leaders of our Party, who found me worthy to be presented to the delegates after a thorough screening exercise.

We have come a long way in choosing and putting our best foot forward in this race. Our focus has always been people-driven, our goal and objective are to serve with dignity and ensure better living for the common man. These I have always shown in my character and deeds in times past and won’t stop now.

According to Napoleon Hill, ” Victory is always possible for the person who refuses to stop fighting”. It is a known fact that I have contested the seat of the Senate twice before now and I am doing so again. I have learned my lessons and believe it is high time we win the seat back for the people.

The job has just begun and this time we will do a lot of things differently and by God’s grace at the polls we will obtain victory, not just for me or the Party, but for all residents of Lagos West Senatorial District who yearn for a wind of change daily.

I want all party members to know that this victory at the primaries , is a victory for all. This simply implies that the challenges ahead will be overcome if we continue to stand united.

The battle is half won and there is still a lot of work to be done. Let’s keep up the enthusiasm, encourage more people to get their PVCs and ensure we all come out en mass to support Aeroland and in general, all PDP candidates come year 2023.

No victor… No vanquished

Thank you and God bless.

Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, Plc (IBEDC) has joined the nation to celebrate our future, the Nigerian child as part of activities for the 2022 International Children’s Day celebration, by visiting several public schools within its network to create awareness on electricity safety. The visits also coincides with the Company’s safety sensitization activities earmarked for the commemoration of the just concluded World Day for Safety and Health at Work.

A statement signed by the Chief Operating Officer (COO), Engr. John Ayodele said the need to educate children on imbibing a positive health and safety culture should not be taken for granted. As cultivating the lessons on how to maintain safety around electricity early will not only save their lives, but it will also forestall lifelong injuries.

“We are strategically embarking on these sensitization visits of some public schools across our franchise to equip children with the safety skill set that will change their orientation about electricity safety and make them act proactively, because as we know, prevention is better than cure. IBEDC as a socially responsible corporate entity with education at the core of its CSR thrust, then decided that, in addition to our annual donation of school materials and fees to some indigent students, we will leverage the Children’s Day celebration as a platform to teach children on safety” Engr. Ayodele said.

Speaking further, Engr. Ayodele said IBEDC is committed to upholding global safety standards, as well as sustaining the health and safety culture the company has built over the years through continuous internal endeavors and collaborations with external safety agencies.
“It is against this backdrop that we organized various programs aimed at institutionalizing the safety culture within our business and the people we serve, namely Essay Competition, 1st Responder trainings, Technical workshop and colloquium, courtesy visits to critical stakeholders etc., to commemorate the 2022 World Day for Safety and Health at Work.
