Rain Oil Boss, Gabriel Ogbechie’s Success Story to Greatness

Published

on

If Grass to Grace story needs an apt definition, the success story of Gabriel Ogbechie, the founder and Group Managing Director of Rainoil Limited will be captured. He is an epitome of grace and his will to succeed in his chosen field. His success story is an inspiring one that if well-knitted will make a best-selling biopic with intrigues, heartbreaks and the final breakthrough which will motivate generations yet unborn and entrepreneurs who wish to set their path in the murky waters of entrepreneurship.

When Rainoil was floated in 1997 over two decades and a half, it started with a leased station in Ipetu-Ijesha Osun state. While his detractors thought his dreams to loom large in the oil and gas sector will come to an abrupt halt, the graduate of Production Engineering from the University of Benin showed his dexterity as he transformed his pain into gain as the downstream oil and gas flagship now has a presence in over 26 states with over 130 stations across the country and still counting. In a bid to deepen the Liquefied Petroleum Gas LPG terrain, Rain Oil launched an ultramodern 800MT Storage facility in Ijegun Lagos to meet the teeming demands of gas users across the country.  Many who witness the astronomic rise of Rain Oil marvelled at how the brand was able to fly high the business to attain enviable height. They are quick to forget that quality drive, doggedness, sincerity of purpose, dreams, passion, prayers and foresight of Ogbechie engineered the success of the brand. With almost three decades of cognate experience in the Nigerian oil and gas industry, Gabriel began his career as a factory engineer between 1989 and 1991 and subsequently joined PricewaterhouseCoopers, a leading firm of Chartered Accountants and Management Consultants. He spent four years at Ascon Oil, heading the Sales and Operations Unit.

In a bid to celebrate his wins built with a foundation of hard work and sweat, he and his team never failed to celebrate Rain oil at 25 anniversary with a series of activities. The company rewarded loyal customers with goodies at their gas stations across the country, played a novelty match with Eterna, a special thanksgiving service and a gala night jamboree at the Eko Hotels and Suit where pop artiste Kizz Daniel also thrilled the audience.

Apostle Suleman Wears New Look, Style

Published

on

By

What is a preacher supposed to look like?’ I didn’t know they had a specific style code,” Brother Gift, a member of the Omega Fire Ministries (OFM) took a jibe at this interviewer when approached to speak on his General Overseer, Apostle Johnson Suleman’s new haircut and regular trendy dressing. “There’s nothing naturally wrong with a man of God having a trendy haircut or adorning a Brunello Cucinelli suit and Brooks Brothers tie as long as it is not meant to oppress or being ostentatious,” Brother Gift posits avers.

Apostle Suleman is one of the most stylish Nigerian pastors that are both anointed and gifted with admirable taste for fashion. He smells of class and good taste and, with a fresh approach to dress and doctrine, his smart form, at every service hour, does command his congregation like a charismatic conductor, motivating them to both thunderous cheers and introspective silence.

His new hair style, a skin fade patterned cut, is the talk in town. His admirers have continued to make his new hair style that matches perfectly his naturally fashionable look the latest topic. That pastors are heavenly conscious, doesn’t mean they can’t be earthly relevant, Apostle Suleman’s followers argue, adding that, combining fabrics and having a sense of fashion is a gift that some men are naturally endowed with, regardless of their circular or spiritual inclination.

For Suleman, he is a man with class and style. He is a fashion conscious man to the core. His choice of what to put on at a particular time and having them sit perfectly is astonishing. He serves his church members this consistent fashion sense and they say the style has been a major one for the man popularly referred as ‘The Restoration Apostle’  over the years.

Stepping out to give sermons in his usual smart look, Suleman doesn’t just look different than the stereotypically buttoned-up men of God, he is also reaching younger audiences in a way that the old-fashioned preachers simply aren’t. With a natural and genuine interest in modern style and culture, along with a more contemporary perspective, men of God like Apostle Suleman are changing how the current youth generation relates to Christianity.

Equally, apart from keeping the home front, Suleman’s wife, Lizzy Suleman, who has  been described as ‘edifying and encouraging individuals to live a purposeful life and achieve their dreams’ also cannot be shoved aside when it comes to style. She also is an epitome of beauty and class. Effortlessly glamorous, insiders say Lizzy only uses light make-up, which brightens her already beautiful look.

Fresh from his successful ‘Mighty Turnaround Crusade’ in Douala, Cameroun, Apostle Suleman agrees that it is important for the followers to be able to relate to their pastor on many levels; whether it’s style, culture, including religion.

“Having this relatable, approachable appearance is a way to immediately tear down a lot of walls between men of God and the people they are trying to reach. The message I am passing with my style is that I want to be fine to be who I am and to uniquely walk out to be who God has called me to be, Suleman declares.

For Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, He remains the proverbial cat with nine lives. In several attempts to cut him down, he has over conquered his enemies both politically and in Business. Since his foray into the murky waters of politics, one thing was constant for him, his ability to bring about the much-needed change to his people and give them the dividend of democracy at all costs. With his heart desires, he tried vehemently to win the Anambra guber seat but was given baptismal of fire on the three occasions he has tried to contest. In the run-up to the 2019 general elections, his detractors thought it was business as usual but the Nnewi-born Capital Oil boss showed that he has indeed come of age as a politician and gathered the much-needed experience.

After his victory at the 2019 \Anambra South Senatorial Election with his moribund Young Progressive Party YPP, He singlehandedly broke the Andy and Chris Uba brother’s stronghold on Abambra South Senatorial district as he gave them a run for their money crashing their winning streak in the district spanning into years. Despite several attempts of trying to steal his mandate from him via the judiciary, The Generous Money bag came out victorious as he won clean from the High court to the supreme court which affirmed his candidature at the pools. Since then he has remained victorious. Last week, when the news of his escape from whiskers broke many didn’t know the level of loss and damage that was done by some Unknown Gun Men who Ambushed his convoy in Anambra state shooting sporadically killing over 8 of his escorts and personal aides. It was a Black Sunday for the senator as he was said to have escaped like a flash of the light using his bulletproof car also guided by providence a few days after celebrating his 51st birthday on the 3rd of September devoid of fanfare. Those close to the senator averred that he wept profusely like a baby over the loss of his people. Some even said if they had told him to pay for the lives lost he will spare no cost to ensure those who died during the gun duel were safe. Some say he is heartbroken, mourning the deceased.

Those in the know also raised an eyebrow why Senator Ubah is a target for those who want to take him out. After several forth and back, some people disclosed that it might be connected to his generous donation of a whopping sum of 500Million Naira to his state to fight insecurity. The funds he donated was to enable the state government to train security personnel, acquire security communication gadgets and also to acquire solar street lights that will illuminate the streets in a bid to fight those who are hell-bent on causing unrest within Anambra State. Sources say; “We are not certain yet but we heard that the attack might have been as a result of his public donation to strengthen Anambra’s Security and his fight to restore sanity to the state. Maybe that’s why he was a target. We are sure the law and nemesis will catch up with the perpetrators of this evil. If they feel attacking him would stop him from desisting in his fight against insecurity they are joking. What does not kill you will make you stronger. They have just successfully made him stronger. He will put more resources to ensure his people as safe from these killers.”
