After trying in the 2019 election, securing the party’s ticket but his dreams were truncated by several legal tussles that made the Electoral body remove his party from the ballot. While some say it’s not connected to his Guber ambition some argue that He is not a social butterfly but since he grabbed the party’s ticket, he has been attending social events to ensure his visibility. “Tonye hardly attends parties prior to his emergence. If it’s not business or maybe his church or foundation activities he hardly attends. Lately, he has been attending soirees. He was at the 80th birthday of Sisi Abba Folawiyo, He also attended the installation of Erelu Abiola Dosunmu as the Yeye Oodua, He attended the Wedding Soiree of Dr. Tope Agbeyo’s son as well last weekend.
