Festac Grammar School 98′ Class Hosts Homecoming Party

Festac Grammar School Class of ’98 Alumni Association (FGSCAA) recently hosted their 2020 Homecoming Party spiced with a Dinner and Awards night. Tagged “2020 Homecoming Dinner and Awards Night” with the catching and very significant theme “THE YEAR THAT CHANGED THE WORLD”.

 The event took place at the prestigious Rockview Hotel, Festac Town, Lagos.

The week long program formally kicked off with accreditation process, visit to The Life Changer Less Privilege Home on 7th Avenue in Festac Town where food stuffs and essential items were donated to make life easier for those at the home. The members played and sang with the children before they left.

To create the much needed bonding for her members, games and free medical check up for members was held at the FHA field in Festac Town. It was funfare all the way. 

 The grand finale was held on the 19th of December, with the introduction of her maiden lecture series that saw four speakers speaking on the following topics:

 1. Dr. Sunny Maduka spoke on the topic “Covid-19 and its Implications on Business – Survival Strategy”.

 2. Mr. Anthony Nwosa spoke on the topic “Start-ups – Entrepreneurship Essentials”.

 3. Mrs. Emike Oyemade spoke on the topic “Empowering Women and the Girl Child Education – Role in Building a Home.

 4. Mr. Francis Chilaka spoke on the topic “Marriage and Family Values Post Covid-19”.

Shortly after the lectures, they proceeded to holding their Annual General Meeting (AGM) with the Chairman BoTs Gerald Azonobo moderating.

The event ended with a glamorous dinner and Awards night with Several members being given awards for their dedication and hardwork for the association during the years.

It was such a site to behold. It was beautiful seeing friends reunite and have so much fun after 22 years of leaving secondary school. What a colourful and love filled event.

This is one NGO to keep an eye on. They have been supporting their Alma mater since their inauguration in 2016.

Members had so many wonderful things to say about the way the association has been helping them individually and their spouses loved to associate with them.
