Due to lack of substance and payment evidence, the court sitting in Ilorin, threw away Bukola Saraki’s petition in a bid to reclaim the Ile-Arugbo choice land from the Kwara State government, who intends to build a new secretariat. Sources says; the former President of the Senate, might be filing for an appeal on the said case. it would be recalled that; Ile Arugbo was formerly occupied by late Waziri Ilorin, Olusola Saraki as an abode built for the downtrodden also where political rendezvous point for the Saraki’s political dynasty.
When Governor of Kwara state; Abdulrahman Abdulrazak, assumed office, he revoked all government properties illegally converted to personal use by the previous administration. Abdulrahman claimed the land belongs to the state government as no mode of payment can be traced into the governments account. According to plan, the land would house the new state secretariat.
Former Governor of Kwara state; Bukola Saraki, is defiant and planning to team up with his sister, Minister of state for Transportation, Senator Gbemisola Saraki to fight Governor Abdulrahman to savage the legacy of their late father.
Sources says that; Now that Bukola and Gbemisola have buried their long time animosity caused by Bukola’s antagonism over Gbemisola’s guber ambition. It took the intervention of Islamic Cleric; Sheik Farook Onikijipa to help restore peace between the Saraki duo. ”Now that they have both settled, Gbemisola is a strong member of the ruling APC and also a Minister, she would be teaming up with his elder sibling to save their fathers legacy by making sure Ile Arugbo remains and serve as the headquarter of the Saraki’s political dynasty.” Sources further added that; Gbemisola is not happy with the development. She sees the takeover as a political witch-hunt which is also a disrespect to their late father. She is going to any length to make sure justices is served in their favour. Gbemisola and Bukola Saraki are going to battle Governor Rahman to a standstill.”
