Chioma Deborah Uzodimma for the first time one thing will strike a chord and sweep you off your feet it’s her witty nature and highly cerebral engaging conversation and hospitable demeanour. She is some homely that if you engage her you won’t want to leave. When it comes to hospitality, She has a mastery of it as more reason President Buhari has visited Imo State twice in the space of six weeks as those on the presidential entourage confessed that she is accommodating, vibrant, mobile and homely in her treatment to not only those in Government but to the common Imolite who comes in contact with her.
Since the twilight of the H.E. Dist. Sen. Hope Odidika Uzodimma’s administration, the graduate of Law from the Imo State University, Owerri, began her career as a lawyer in various law firms being a Junior Associate for Emeka Etiaba (SAN)- Etiaba Chambers & Co. , Rickey Tarfa (SAN) & Co. and Chris Uche (SAN) & Co. She is a shoulder to lean on and has given succour to not only the Governor but to those who sees her as a mentor within the state.
With her philanthropic gestures, through her Goodhope flourish foundation, she is a strong advocate for social, Gender and humanitarian causes who has dedicated her life to the welfare of the downtrodden. Despite being a young mother of four, she oozes class and also mentors old women who heed to her advice. This has stood her out within Imo State as she is well-loved by all sundry most especially for her role in promoting women and children-oriented programmes. She has carried out charitable donations to many organizations catering specifically to widows, children and physically challenged individuals; contributing her time and resources to many motherless baby’s homes in and around Imo State. Recently, the mother of four also lend her voice to call for the arrest of one Mr Confidence Amatobi who is currently on the run for breaking the arm of his son over noise making which led to the amputation of the baby’s hand. Sources say; the First lady has taken over the welfare of the baby and has promised to establish the mother and also ensure the baby grows up getting a quality education and also ensure justice is served to the culprit as a trained lawyer.
