Movie Producer, Seun Egbegbe In Critical Health Condition, Battles For Life

After he was sentenced for crimes bothering on theft, obtaining by false pretense among other crimes, movie producer and socialite Olajide Kazeem popularly known as Seun Egbegbe has remained in custody as his stringent bail condition is yet to be met. Sources disclosed that; His bail condition should have been met but sureties are afraid that he might indulge in the said crime he was convicted for again that’s why many are distancing themselves from him.

Mr. Egbegbe has spent over 83 months in prison custody due to his failure to perfect his bail conditions. The Lagos socialite, known for his lavish lifestyle, has been incarcerated since February 10, 2017. The 45-year-old controversial figure in the Yoruba movie industry was arraigned by the police for alleged fraud involving N39 million; $90,000 and £12,550. The police alleged that he fraudulently obtained the money from no fewer than 40 Bureau De Change operators in Lagos over a period of two years – 2015 to 2017.

The filmmaker who financed the production of several Yoruba films under his Ebony Films Productions imprint has been unable to fulfill the bail conditions more than three years after.

Those who are close to the socialite and erstwhile boyfriend of Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham have left him in the cold as they no longer pick his call. “People have deserted him. He was warned vehemently over his lifestyle but he refused to learn. His few friends and family members were said to have galvanized people for his release but every effort ended in futility. He has spent all his savings on the case. he now lives from hand to mouth. nobody is ready to associate with him.” The Source added.

At this moment, the socialite is currently battling for his life due to his deteriorating health. The health condition worsened weeks ago when he appeared in court. He was said to have been exposed to too much Aircondition for over 89 hours the case lasted which further triggered an unknown ailment in his body. Sources said; after the court proceeding, he almost collapsed but was immediately rushed to the hospital. “Seun is currently battling for his life as his health is deteriorating. He can’t even afford money for drugs or treatment as we speak. Those he would have contacted for help have deserted him and have cut communication ties with him. He is currently begging for life as he is looking frail. He needs help before the situation gets worse”

CITYSPY gathered that; his release date is gradually moving closer. “With the look of things, he might likely regain his freedom pretty soon. it’s left for the judge at the next court sitting. We pray that this will teach him a big lesson and he will cease to wreak havoc in the society and enable him to  work harder instead of glorifying his kleptomaniac lifestyle.”
