Olowu Kuta; Oba Adekunle Oyelude set-to-be Honoured

His Royal Majesty, Oba Hameed Adekunle Oyelude, the Olowu of Owu Kuta, Osun State is indeed one of the most forward-thinking monarchs we have in Nigeria. His education, exposure, connection and commitment to Nigeria have seen him invest so much in ensuring Nigeria continues to soar higher. If you engage him in political discussions you would be marveled at his intelligence and brilliance laced with how spontaneous he will deliver his arguments with facts. He knows Nigerian Politics like the back of his hand he is also a student of history which is why he has continued to put his kingdom on the map with his development strides and attracting opportunities to better the lives of his people. He is also well-grounded in arts, culture, sciences and world politics he is always ready to share his knowledge without prejudice and bias.

In his days as a businessman and a contractor, he had set out to be a man loved by all sundry for his composure and ability to coordinate things to run smoothly. He understood the power of maintaining friendships and also remained loyal to his friends. These and many more earned him the position as the National Chairman of Nigeria’s former Military President, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida IBB, vision 2003 when he wanted to contest as a civilian president. 

The multi-lingual monarch has facilitated the construction of Kuta Railway Station road, Osun Bridge on Kuta – Ede Road, N75million ultra-modern community palace, a police station, a patrol van in Owu Kuta and expanded channelling of waterways as well as the control of Erosion at Isale Oba in Kuta. These and many more he has attracted to better lives of his people. In other to appreciate and celebrate him for his continuous support for the development of Nigeria and humanity; Our Nigeria Magazine will on Saturday the 11th of November 2023 confer on him an award as ‘Legendary Icon of the Year’ at an award billed to hold at the International Conference Centre ICC, Abuja.
