Ibadan-born businessman and aspiring lawmaker, Oloye Ademola Titilopemi Ajibola has commiserated with the good people of Oyo Town as they mourn the great passage to the land of the ancestors of Iku Baba Yeye, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi, the Alaafin of Oyo, yesterday night.

In a statement released by his media office, he disclosed “ I am personally saddened by this news. I have a close relationship with the Oyo Palace as some of the princesses are my personal friends and Olori Omoh is a sister of mine too”. My egbon and political leader is equally the Ayedero of Yorubaland, a title conferred on him by the late king”.

“No matter how old our parents are, we don’t ever want them to go to the greater beyond and this also relates to our foremost king who has lived as one of the longest-reigning monarchs in Nigeria and even Africa. Baba’s life was a very rich one and as a custodian of the culture and a first-class ruler, he did all that was necessary to elevate Oyo town and the entire Oyo State”.

“I for one intend to visit Baba after the APC primaries, even though I’m contesting in Ibadan South West, solely because I wanted his fatherly advice as I journey down to 2023. I condole with my APC brother and federal lawmaker, Prince Skimeh and the entire royal household on this. This news will definitely reshape the traditional and bey extension , political structure of Oyo state as we have lost the late great Olubadan Adetunji and Baba Soun in the past months”.

Ademola Titilopemi Ajibola, popular known as A. T. A, is one of the youngest new lights flying the banner of APC in Oyo State and he has over the past years financed and promoted a number of life-changing projects for the benefit of people within and beyond his constituency, a feat that earned him Gbobaniyi of Sibaland last year.
