FORMER KANO GOVERNOR, IBRAHIM SHEKARAU DECLEARES INTENTION TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT UNDER PDP

The political game of the 2019 general elections is currently taking a new shape. The embattled Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), are getting close in their quest to unseat their arch rivals, All Progressive Congress (APC), from the presidency in the 2019 general elections.

The PDP are getting positive response, as three candidate have showed interest to contest under the PDP as president for the next 2019 election.
First, it was Ekiti State Governor, Peter Ayodele Fayose who declared his intention to run at a mega convergence in Abuja. Former Jigawa state Governor, Mallam Sule Lamido, also wrote a letter to the authority of the PDP declaring his interest to be the party’s flag bearer for the Presidential elections in 2019. The latest candidate jostling to scoop the party’s ticket is; former Minister of Education, Ibrahim Shekarau. He has indicated interest to run for the presidency in 2019 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

CITYSPY gathered that; Shekarau, who is also a former Governor of Kano State, sent a notification letter to the PDP of his intention to run for the presidency. Shekarau is said to have communicated his political ambition to various elders, community leaders, opinion leaders, political associates and religious leaders regardless of their ethnic and party affiliations.
