The whole Ghana Football Association (GFA), is thrown into a rude shock over the news of the demise of their former International player, Yakubu Abubakari.
Yakubu, who has 16 caps for the Black Star of Ghana, was reportedly to have died in a hospital in Southern Ghanaian city, Tema, on Tuesday October 31st. His death was made public knowledge today, the 1st of November 2017, by tweet from the Ghana FA official twitter handle, @GhanaFAofficial.
The reason for his death is still sketchy as no ailment was mentioned to have caused his untimely death.
Abubakari until his death, played for Dutch side, Ajax FC, before heading to Vitesse Arnhem in 2004, playing with the club for five years.
The deceased, Abubakari, has represented his country, The Black Stars of Ghana at every level; Under-17, Under-20 and Under-23 level as well.
