LAGOS HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY SPEAKER MUDASHIRU OBASA IN TROUBLE
As the 2019 election is gathering momentum, everything seem not to be favourable for Lagos State Speaker House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Mudashiru Obasa; who has been running from pillar to post to retain his seat at the Lagos hallowed chambers representing Agege Constituency 1. Obasa Agege as He is fondly called, is know to have been one of the most powerful man in Lagos politics, if He sneezes, the whole Lagos catches the vibes. Obasa seems to have lost his strong supporters.
The former wrist watch repairer turned politician, rose to prominence, when He was elected the speaker amid strong controversies in 2015. According to a source within the Agege 1 constituency, divulged to CITYSPY that; Obasa is facing serious threat which might affect his re-election to the Lagos House of Assembly.
The source further added that; ”The Lagos speaker is running to save himself from being defeated in the forthcoming pools. He has stepped on so many toes and He performed woefully even as speaker, people have promised to vote him out. Last week, He went to the Hausa community in Agege with a whopping sum of 5million Naira, which was rejected and they all promised to work against Him in the coming pool. The same people who rejected the cash gift received the Oluyinka Ogundimu Agege 2 APC flag bearer’s cash gift which is an indication that Obasa is on the verge of loosing the forthcoming election. Some anti supporters of Obasa have threatened to unleash mayhem during his rally in Agege. From all indications, He is in serious trouble.”
