LOVE STRIKES AGAIN, AS FUNKE FOWLER SETS TO WALK DOWN THE AISLE WITH AIG IMOHKUEDE
Few years back, when Funke Fowler, the daughter of Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) tax boss, Tunde Fowler tied nuptial knot, with her estranged hubby, Abi Kuku, son of Chief Adebayo Kuku, at an high-octane wedding soiree, that cost billions of Naira in Dubai, many had thought it was a union made in heaven.
Many observers felt the union would stand the test of time. Alas, the heaven on earth wedding hit the rock two years after, over irreconcilable differences between the couple. The Dubai wedding almost cost the then Lagos Inland Revenue Service (LIRS) boss, Tunde Fowler his job. After the wedding, he was questioned by his then boss, former Governor of Lagos, Babatunde Fashola, over the huge funds he spent on the wedding. Alleging him of dipping his hands into the purse of Lagos state tax payers money. With the quick intervention of several political leaders in the Lagos political terrain, Fowler was given a soft landing, which made him retain his job.
Away from the breakup saga, Funke an Executive Director at Coronation Bank and a fashion enthusiast, who owned Leila Fowler Boutique, has moved on with her love life again. Thus, parting ways with old memories, embracing her new found love in Aig Imohkuede’s heart.
Aig, like he is fondly called by friends and associates, is the younger and very quiet brother of the former MD/CEO of Access Bank PLC, Aigboje Aig-Imohkuede. The two love birds are set to tie the nuptial knot in few month as CITYSPY gathered that; the solemnization will be as quiet as possible. Unlike Funke’s first wedding that attracted the high and mighty in Nigeria to a private location in Dubai.
