NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS REMI ‘SURUTU’ OSHODI LOOSES FIRST DAUGHTER ILERIAYO

For those familiar with the recent happenings in Nollywood lately over the shocking demise of actors, most especially the arm of the Yoruba speaking genre, would attest to the fact the recent untimely loss of life has be so disheartening. This time around she is not an actress, the deceased is IleriAyo, daughter of popular star actress Remi Oshodi with the sobriquet Remi Surutu.


It would be recalled that for few years now, the actress has seldom starred in movies like she used to before. The A-list screen goddess, went on a low-key to perform her motherly duties as her daughter IleriAyo, a Sickle cell patient, needs her attention and this has taken her off the movie screen for a while.
 The actress opted to sacrifice her acting career in other to take care of her first daughter whom she so much loved. Ileri ayo, is a 23 years old light skinned bright girl, the first daughter of the actress and Her late father was also a top NNF official. It would be recalled that years back, Remi singlehandedly flew in surgeon’s from India to carry out a spine transplant surgery on Ileriayo where she ended up coughing out millions of Naira for the wellbeing of her daughter due to the love and affection she has for her.

The daughter has been bedridden for months at the Medical Emergency centre Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja but to the chagrin of many, Ileriayo took her last breath on mother hearth in the early hours of Sunday 2nd of July. The actress is currently bereaved as she posted the picture of the beautiful daughter on her Instagram timeline to announce her shocking and sudden demise. The actress has often in public professes her undying love and affection for Ileriayo as she finds solace in her.

Remi is currently planning to give her late daughter a befitting burial as she wants her remains to be lowered below 6ft at the Vault Ikoyi on Thursday the 6th of July. Remi held a short meeting with the deceased paternal family as they all concluded for the befitting burial on thursday.
