OANDO BOSS, WALE TINUBU CELEBRATES LATE SIBLING DEJI TINUBU ONE YEAR AFTER SHOCKING DEMISE, SET TO HOST PRAYERS AT FAMILY HOUSE

Exactly a year ago, when the Tinubu family in Lagos were thrown in a water of disbelief, when they lost one of their dear sons, Deji, to the cold hands of death untimely death.

But the memories of the righteous lingers on in the heart of those he has touched. Indeed, for the head honcho of Oando PLC, Jubril Adewale Tinubu, and other family members, the deceased can never be forgotten in such a hurry. During the burial, Wale Tinubu said in his tribute that; “I have never prepared myself for this moment because death really is not for my family.”

Wale further said; “Whenever I think about the possibility, it’s usually followed with a God Forbid muttered under my breath and when I hear of someone else’s demise, I usually heave a sigh of relief then say a small prayer for the deceased. In this case, death was for my family and even if it came visiting I never thought that it would be Deji who if there ever was one deserving of prize for decency, courtesy, fairness, exceptional kindness and the genuine interest of the well being of others then; He should have been last on death lists.”

Therefore, in celebration of his times and memories on mother earth, the City of David Parish of RCCG, Lekki, where he worshipped till his last days, will on Sunday the 25th of January, organize a solemn remembrance service for one of their devoted member.

Consequently, the family, under the watch of the Oando boss, will as well organise a solem remembrance gathering in honour of the departed soul at the family house in Lagos.
The former SA on Sport, died on January 25, 2018, having slumped during a football match at the then ongoing retreat of members of the Lagos State Executive Council and Permanent Secretaries at the Jubilee Chalets, Epe, Lagos State.

Before Deji’s untimely demise, the engineer turn sports analyst, held various position in the Lagos political clime. He was former Chairman of the Lagos State Sports Commission, before he was elected as a member of the NFF executive committee.  He was also Special Adviser on Sports and Chairman of the State’s Sports Commission and later moved to Commerce and Industry.
