SENATOR IYIOLA OMISORE CELEBRATES AT 60
For senator Iyiola Omisore, a former Deputy Governor of Osun state and two-term senator representing Osun east senatorial district from 2003 and 2009, hitting the sexagenarian age Yesterday, the 15th of September, is a rare privileged for him; having lived a fulfilled life as a politician and a qualified structural engineer by profession.
His birthday calls for redolent reflection of his sojourn right from birth till date. CITYSPY gathered that, the revered philanthropist, hosted few friends and associate to a low-key birthday soiree, at his Ile-ife palatial mansion.
Over the years, Omisore, holds a Ph.D in Infrastructure Finance from the International School of Management, Paris, France, haven demonstrated distinct qualities of a good leader. Little wonder, many have continued to flood his door step for both political and business guidance.
Prince Iyiola, one of the founding fathers of the Alliance for Democracy (A.D), started demonstrating the traits of forthrightness; keen intellect and uprightness which not only distinct him from his peers but prepared him for communal leadership and dedicated service. Right from his early life, he has portrayed endearing love for success and distinction in whatever he delves into. In fact, today not many in his peers are able to match his intimidating profile even at 60.
Apart from his political and engineering pedigree, he was born with a royal silver spoon. Prince Iyiola also has blue blood running in his veins. He is the grandson of Lowa Omisore and his father is Oba David Olajide Omisore of Ayepe, Olode, Ile-Ife, and also the grandson of the Late Olufewara Kabiyesi Oba Titus Adetoba of the Oseganderuku ruling house in Ifewara where his mother, Princess Emila Adejola ruled as Regent until her death in 2006.
Although, he is a man that has never known poverty all his life but he detests poverty with passion and would never allow it among his people. His philanthropic gesture is second to none. CITYSPY gathered that he has thousands of students under his scholarship scheme while many widows and orphans are under his monthly pay rolls, so as to alleviate poverty in his immediate environment.
