SUPER FALCONS STRIKER, ASISAT OSHOALA INSPIRE YOUNG GIRLS WITH HER 5 DAYS FOOTBALL CLINIC IN LAGOS
Super Falcons and Quanjian striker, Asisat Oshoala, is a well known player who ply’s her trade far away China. She is the reigning Female Africa Best Footballer. Her foundation, The Asisat Oshoala Foundation, has been impacting the girl child lately as her football clinic, held in different stadium in Lagos saw young girls troop out in their large numbers to partake in the soccer clinic supported by Lagos state government, Lagos Sports Commission in conjunction with the Office of the first Lady of Lagos state.
The Lagos girl football clinic, is an initiative to bring every aspiring female prospective soccer lover under one roof, where they can be mentored and trained on the basics of soccer playing. Also, showcasing talented female players who would probably represent Nigeria on the bigger stage in the nearest future at different levels.
The 5 days soccer clinic, started on November 13th and ended on the 17th of November. The venues were; Teslim Balogun stadium, Campus Stadium, Onikan Stadium and Agege Stadium. It attracted top Lagos state dignitaries as the grand finale was lighted up by various musical artiste who dished out scintillating performance. Comedian Alibaba and First Lady of Lagos state, Mrs Bolanle Ambode were also both spotted at the grand finale. Asisat was also awarded as footballer of the year at the Nigeria Sport Award.
